The XVI All India Convention of the All India Association of Superintendents of Central Tax (AIASCT) was held at Coimbatore on 12th–13th March 2026. During the General Body Meeting held on 13th March 2026.
During the XVI All India Convention, the new office bearers of the AIASCT All India Body were elected for the next term. Shri Santosh Kumar (Kolkata) has been elected as President, Shri Ashutosh Kumar (Chennai) as Working President, Shri Rabish Chandra (Coimbatore) as Secretary General, and Shri Bhaskarnath (Kerala) as Assistant Secretary General.
Further, representatives from different zones were also elected to the Executive Body. These include Rajiv Agarwal (Jaipur) and Laxman Chaurasia (Bhopal) as Vice Presidents for the Central Zone, Jeetendra Nishad (Raipur) as Joint Secretary (Central Zone); Sanjeev Kumar Jha (Bihar & Jharkhand) and Kumar Navnit (Kolkata) as Vice Presidents for the Eastern Zone, with K.K. Kaushal (Odisha) and Ajay Kumar (Bihar & Jharkhand) as Joint Secretaries; Debashish Ghosh (Bengaluru) and Karthik Aitha (Hyderabad) as Vice Presidents for the South Zone, with Vinay Singh Sikarwar (Bengaluru) and Abhilash C (Kerala) as Joint Secretaries; and Manish Roy (Mumbai) and Hari Mohan Meena (Pune) as Vice Presidents for the West Zone, with Raghvendra Shukla (Pune) as Joint Secretary.
Various matters of importance to the cadre were discussed during the meeting. The discussions broadly covered issues relating to workload at the Range level, strengthening of field formations, cadre restructuring, stagnation and promotional avenues, infrastructure support, welfare measures for officers, and administrative reforms required for improving efficiency and working conditions in the department.
Members from different units actively participated in the deliberations and shared their views and suggestions on these issues in a constructive manner.
